Comic lot title builder for eBay
Buyers search by issue number, and "lot of 8" names none. This writes the title the way Point and Sell writes it for a lot, from the same code.
What it does with the issues
- A run with no gaps is written first to last:
#1-8. - A lot with gaps names its runs, like
#1-3 #5 #7, so the numbers that start and end each run are in the title. - When that list runs past 30 characters, the title keeps the first and last issue and the count. The Issue Number item specific, the field eBay lets buyers filter on, carries as much of the list as fits in eBay's 65 characters, cut between numbers, never through one; the table below the title shows what it carries.
- Ticking complete series puts those words in the title. Only tick it when it is true.
- The series and the issues always come first; a very long series name is shortened before the issues are. The publisher and year keep their room when they fit, and the words between (Comic Lot, the character) are what give way when the title runs long. A character already in the series name is not written twice.
