How Discogs works out its fee
- The selling fee is 9% of the item price plus the shipping the buyer pays.
- The minimum is $0.10 and the maximum is $150. The maximum is reached when the price and the shipping come to $1,666.67.
- Listing is free. The fee is taken from the buyer's payment when they pay.
- Payment processing: Discogs payments go through PayPal, and PayPal takes its own fee from the payment. Discogs' help pages do not give that rate, so it is not counted here. Your PayPal statement shows it as "Fee".
- Shipping the buyer pays is taken to pay for the postage, so what you keep is the sale price less the fee.
In US dollars. Discogs sets a different minimum and maximum for other currencies. Not counted: any tax Discogs charges on its fee.
