How it is worked out

Items sold is the items times the share you expect to sell, rounded down.
Expected sales is the items sold times your average price. The price is yours; this page does not look one up.
eBay fees are the eBay fee calculator's, worked out on one sale at the average price and counted once for each item sold: the category's rate on the price, the shipping the buyer paid and the sales tax (2.35% on the part of a sale over eBay's cap), plus the per-order fee. Each sale is counted as its own order, with no promoted listing, no Top Rated Plus and a US buyer.
Postage the buyer pays is taken to pay for the label, so it costs you nothing, and eBay's fee is charged on it. Postage you pay is the postage times the items sold.
Supplies are counted on each item sold.
Your time is counted on every item in the collection, sold or not.
The most you can offer is the net after costs less the profit you want, as a share of expected sales.

Not counted: an eBay Store's subscription, returns, and what you pay to get the collection home.

A worked example

Made-up figures, to show the arithmetic: a box of 200 items, 70% expected to sell at an average of $10.00, the buyer paying $5.00 postage, $1.00 of supplies a sale, 7% sales tax, no eBay Store, 3 minutes a listing at $15.00 an hour, and 40% of sales kept as profit.
