eBay custom label (SKU) generator for comics and collectibles
One label per comic, in the shape that finds it again: the box, a dash, and its place in the box counted from the front. Type the box and how many comics are in it; get the labels to paste and a sheet of stickers to print.
Why this shape
- One label per comic. A box number shared by a dozen listings cannot tell you which comic sold, and nothing that ends a listing by its label can pick one of the twelve.
- Letters and digits for the box, nothing else. A space or a slash breaks the label in two the first time something reads a pasted list.
- Three digits for the slot, zero padded, so sorting the labels as text walks the box front to back.
- A slot is never reused. When you add comics to a box, start at the next number after the highest one you have used, not at a gap a sale left.
