How Whatnot works out its fees
- The commission is a percent of the item's sale price only. The shipping and tax the buyer pays are not included.
- The rate depends on the vertical and your tier. Your tier is your sales in a four-week period.
- Payment processing is 2.9% plus $0.30 a transaction, on everything the buyer pays: the price, the shipping and the tax.
- Shipping the buyer pays covers Whatnot's label, so the payout is the sale price less the fees. With your own label it works differently.
Whatnot promotions can lower the commission; they are not counted here.
