Facebook Marketplace fee calculator

Type what something sold for on Facebook Marketplace. Get the selling fee, what you keep, and your profit.

How Facebook Marketplace works out its fee

  • Shipped through checkout: the selling fee is 10% of the item price, the shipping and the sales tax the buyer paid, with a minimum of $0.80. The minimum is the fee when all three come to under $8.00.
  • Picked up locally, or paid to you outside Facebook's shipping and checkout: no selling fee.
  • The fee comes off your payout. An item that does not sell pays no fee.
  • Rounding: none of the sources this page read states one. This page rounds the fee to the cent, half up.
  • One item in one order. Resellers' guides differ on whether the fee and its minimum are per item or per order; for one item in one order they are the same.
  • Shipping the buyer pays is taken to pay for the label, and the sales tax is not yours to keep, so what you keep is the sale price less the fee. If you offered free shipping, the label is yours to pay: add it to what you paid for the item and your profit counts it.

In US dollars, for a seller in the US. Not counted: boosting a listing, refunds, returns and chargebacks.
